How to do the incline press

The incline press works the upper part of your pecs.  Natural bodybuilders tend to focus on defining every part of each muscle possible so they perform flat, incline, and decline presses to bring out the pecs to a more impressive look.

Here is how you would perform this exercise.

1.  Lie on your back with your feet either flat on the floor or, on the foot rest.

2.  Grab the bar with a grip slightly wider apart than shoulder width.

3.  Lift the bar from the uprights or have a spotter assist you.

4.  Slowly lower the bar until it touches the upper part of the pectorals, just below the collar bone; then slowly return to the initial starting position.

Don'ts

-Lock your elbows as you straighten out your arms.

-Bounce the bar off your chest.

-Arch your back.

Do's

-Keep your abdomen tight.

-Keep your head on the bench

-Lower the bar until your nipple line.
